Your Sponsorship is Tax Deductible
The Western Australian Explorers’ Diaries Project is a registered Deductible Gift Recipient entity. This means that it can receive donations that are tax deductible. If a donation is tax deductible, donors can deduct the full amount of their donation from their taxable income when they lodge their tax return.
Sponsorship of the Project is approved by the Australian Taxation Office as a Deductible Gift Recipient under Item 1 Section 30-15, Sub Division 30 of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997. This entitles sponsors to claim the total value of any grant for taxation purposes.
The Western Australian Explorers’ Diaries Project’s ABN is 64 313 525 770.
The Western Australian Explorers’ Diaries Project’s status as a Deductible Gift Recipient can also be found on the Register of Cultural Organisations. The link to the Register (PDF document) is at the bottom of page.
Sponsorship funds are held in an audited, over sighted Trust Account.
As a result of changes to legislation requiring Deductible Gift Recipient Entities to also be registered as a charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission the Western Australian Explorers’ Diaries Project is currently engaged in this process. During this time the Western Australian Explorers’ Diaries Project is still a tax deductible entity.
The information on this page will be updated when the registration process is complete.
