Methodology
The transcript of each diary has been taken from source documents (explorers’ diaries or journals). It is then proofread against the source document up to four times before inclusion in the draft volume.
The names of personnel involved in an exploration are taken from the original reports and other sources.
Field books are not reproduced unless in the form of a diary or journal.
Each report, diary or journal of an exploration published is given an Exploration Number that relates to the day of the year the exploration started.
